The original family blocks
Around 300 acres of citrus plus a 35-acre trellised fig plantation under full shade cloth.
From a single packing machine in Gol Gol to farms in three states, the Simonetta family grows, packs and ships premium citrus and figs to Australia and the world.
The family arrived from southern Italy in the 1950s and grew vegetables in the Sunraysia region. In 1991 brothers Joe, Tony and Mario opened a small citrus packing shed, driving the fruit to the Melbourne Market themselves. Today the third generation runs farming, export and operations — and the fourth is growing up in the shed.
